Felipe Hernandez: El sábado 18 de abril se dio acabo en Albuquerque una feria informativa sobre la implementación de DACA y DAPA.Congresista de los Estados Unidos Luis Gutierrez quien por muchos años a abogado por una reforma migratoria justa estaba presente.Los programas de DACA y DAPA han sido bloqueados por una corte federal pero mucho de los expertos legales dicen que los programas van a continuar. La implementación de DACA y DAPA ayudaría a 5 millones de personas.

Luis Gutiérrez dice que no hay que preocuparse, que las personas que posiblemente califiquen se deben de preparar.

Luis Gutiérrez: Mira para mi el futuro de DACA y de DAPA están seguras. Nosotros vamos a prevalecer en las cortes federales. Este viernes pasado los abogados del presidente, los abogados que representan nuestro pueblo, y los inmigrantes presentaron su caso de una manera muy fuerte. Esperamos la decision de las cortes. Si no ganamos en esta corte vamos a prevalecer en una corte, pero tarde o temprano 5 millones de indocumentados van a poder solicitar. Y estamos aquí con los congresistas Luján y Luján, mis dos grandes amigos, y dos titanes de la lucha a favor de los inmigrantes para informar la comunidad no solo de Albuquerque porque aquí han venido de todas partes, aquí a reunirse para conocer los últimos datos y a continuar preparando la gente para la eventualidad de su legalización. La gente tiene que ir preparándose porque eventualmente nosotros vamos a ganar en la corte.

Felipe Hernandez: Luis Gutiérrez también dijo que quiere un país donde se respete la santidad en familia y derechos.

Luis Gutiérrez: Porque nosotros creemos en la justicia, porque ayer yo parti de la casa le di un beso a mi esposa. Me despide de mi nieto y de mi hija y ellos tienen la garantía que yo esta noche voy a regresar a esa casa y hay millones de familias que no tienen esa misma garantía que cuando ese esposo, esa madre, ese padre se van a ir a trabajar van a regresar con sus hijos. Y yo quiero un país donde se respetan los derechos y la santidad de la familia como se respeta la mía.

Felipe Hernandez: Bertha Campos quien calificaría bajo la nueva implementación de DAPA dijo que esta muy feliz que Nuevo México esta apoyando la implementación de estos programas porque los inmigrantes indocumentados contribuyen mucho a la economía y que ella ya esta lista para aplicar por DAPA

Bertha Campos: Estoy orgullosa de las contribuciones culturales y económicas de los inmigrantes de Nuevo México. Nosotros somos propietarios de negocios pequeños nuevo mexicanos. Nosotros somos trabajadores en los campos petroleros y los campos de chile. Nosotros contribuimos. Nosotros nos encargamos de los abuelos y niños y nosotros proveemos el labor para construir nuestras casas y cada edificio en la industria de construcción y jugamos un papel importante en el servicio industrial. También somos padres, vecinos, familias, estudiantes, y gente de fe nuevo mexicanos. Estoy orgullosa que en Abril 6 el ayuntamiento de la ciudad de Albuquerque paso un memorial para destacar estas contribuciones que apoya la implementación de DACA y DAPA, porque reconocen el beneficio de niños, familias, trabajadores, y la economía. He vivido y trabajado en Nuevo México por más de 20 años y este es el único lugar que mis cinco hijos han llamado hogar. Como la mayoría de las familias inmigrantes Vengo de una familia de estado mezclado con algunos niños que son ciudadanos de Estados Unidos y una hija que acaba de ser aprobado para DACA . Estoy listo para solicitar DAPA cuando se implemente.

News In Minutes: DACA and DAPA Information Fair

Felipe Hernandez: On Saturday April 18 there was an information fair over the implementations of DACA and DAPA. Congressman Luis Gutierrez, who for many years has advocated a comprehensive immigration reform was present. The DACA and DAPA programs have been blocked by a federal court, but many legal experts say the programs will continue. The implementation of DACA and DAPA would help out 5 million people.

Luis Gutiérrez says not to worry, that people may qualify and that they must prepare.

Luis Gutiérrez: Look the DACA and DAPA programs are secure. We will prevail in the federal courts. This last Friday the President’s lawyers, who represent our people, and immigrants presented their case in a very strong way. We await the decision of the courts. If we do not win in this court we will prevail in another court, but eventually 5 million undocumented immigrants will be able to apply. And also we are here with congressmen Lujan and Lujan, my two great friends, and two titans that have been fighting for immigrants, to inform the community not only of Albuquerque because people they have come here from everywhere, to meet with for the latest information and to prepare themselves for the eventual legalization of the programs DACA and DAPA. People have to get ready because eventually we’re going to win in court.

Felipe Hernandez: Luis Gutiérrez also said he wants a country that respects holiness of the family and rights.

Luis Gutiérrez: Because we believe in justice, because yesterday I left my house, I kissed my wife. I said bye to my grandson and my daughter, and they are assured that ‘m going back to that house tonight and there are millions of families who don’t have that same assurance, that when the husband, the mother, the father will go to work they will return to their children. And I want a country where rights and the sanctity of the family are respected just like mine are respected.

Felipe Hernandez: Bertha Campos who would qualify under the new implementation of DAPA said he is very happy that New Mexico is supporting the implementation of these programs because undocumented immigrants contribute heavily to the economy and that she is now ready to apply for DAPA.

Bertha Campos: I’m proud of all of the economic and cultural contributions of New Mexican immigrants. We are New Mexico small business owners. We are workers in the oil fields, in the chile fields. We contribute. We take care of grandparents and children and we provide the labor to build our houses and every building in the construction industry and we play an important role in the service industry. We are also New Mexico parents, neighbors, families, students and people of faith.  I’m proud that on April 6 the Albuquerque City Council passed a memorial highlighting these contributions that support the implementation of DACA and DAPA, because they recognize the benefit of children, families, workers, and the economy. I’ve lived and worked in New Mexico for more than 20 years and this is the only place that my 5 kids have called home. Like the majority of immigrant families I come from a mixed status family with some U.S. citizen children, and a daughter who has just been approved for DACA. I am ready to apply for DAPA when it is implemented.
